Hi, I'm Sai

I'm currently building Hypercubic, agentic AI for mainframe operations and modernization. Our mission is to pioneer a new class of intelligence capable of understanding, reasoning about, and rebuilding the world's foundational legacy infrastructure.

Previously, I was a Lead Machine Learning Engineer at Apple, where I worked on ML R&D, multimodal sensing, and embedded algorithms across iPhone and Mac. I owned end-to-end ML systems, shipped core features on 200M+ devices, and presented my work at the Apple Machine Learning Summit.

I received my B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Virginia Tech, where I published multiple first-author research papers in natural language processing, long-context reasoning, and large language models. I was also awarded the Graduate Student Research Excellence Award, given annually to the Top 8 graduate researchers in the College of Engineering.

I enjoy building things, learning fast, and working on hard problems. For my past projects and academic endeavors, I've been selected as a ZFellow, Forbes Under 30 Scholar, Microsoft Imagine Cup World Finalist, Stanford UIF Fellow, and have worked on ML research funded by Google DeepMind.
